David had an extremely difficult time finding Goliath. It turned out he looked nothing like a bear but rather like a very large human being. His quads were about the circumference of David's head, which David found admirable. His uniform was an even deeper, more magnificent blue-green than the other Philistines'; plus, he had a special black sheep's-fur hat that covered his ears. David bet he would look great in a hat like that.

David shot a stone at Goliath's chest. The stone bounced off and Goliath laughed, which made David laugh, too. So David threw another stone at Goliath's stomach, and Goliath laughed again. Soon, they were both laughing very hard at the flurry of stones and all the wonderful thwumps they made as they ricocheted off Goliath's mammoth legs, arms, and neck and plopped to the ground.

“Watch this, tough guy!” David said, closing his eyes.
 
The rock made a very disconcerting splat when it hit Goliath's forehead, which turned a bright red color David didn't like at all. But when Goliath crossed his eyes, David knew it was all a goof. He clapped and whistled at how convincingly Goliath thundered down to earth, the little poke of tongue that drooped into the grass. “Show's over, tough guy,” David said, jostling Goliath's massive shoulder. “Get up.”
