She was the recipient of a 2007 Artist Trust/Washington State Arts Commission Fellowship and a 2009 Artist Trust (GAP) project grant; she has been awarded residencies at Yaddo and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; and she is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
