Get your creative juices flowing! The American Short Fiction editorial team will host a craft talk from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, at 360 Uno Trattoria (inside Davenport Village, 3801 N Capital of Texas Highway). Workshop instructor and ASF contributor Dalia Azim will lead the discussion. The event will also include a brief, idea-generating writing exercise, a preview of our fall classes which launch Tuesday, October 12, and creative exchange with other writers. The event is free, but seating is limited. Register here. (Curious about our classes? Click here for more info.) Come have a glass of wine, get inspired, and connect with others in the community. This is the third and last in a series.
American Short Fiction was acquired by the nonprofit Badgerdog in 2004 and relaunched in March 2006. The literary quarterly publishes innovative new work from a diverse group of emerging and established writers, featuring stories in print and online. The New York Times, Poets & Writers, Utne Reader, and the Austin Chronicle have recognized the journal. Writers published in ASF have had their work anthologized in the prestigious Best American Short Stories, Best American Nonrequired Reading, and New Stories of the Southwest. |
